Evaluation One: Final

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? From completing a wide range of extensive research into the mise en scene, camera shots and editing of authentic music videos which are in the indie music genre, we decided to take inspiration from certain ones that had the most admirable features. I have used a wide range of different technologies both traditional and new, within my entire coursework project. These technologies have opened up a range of different opportunities which I could use for my coursework. All of these pieces of technology were accessed on my laptop or computers supplied by the college, meaning that all of my work was computer based. This was effective because it allowed me to share work between myself and my group easily and effectively, ensuring that we could work together efficiently. Overall these technologies have helped me develop a professional looking blog, successful products and well-presented work. The indie/alternative group within modern society is the set of people that we are aiming our music video at. After looking at the website 'UK Tribes' we found that the people who are 'Creatives', 'Scenesters' and 'Stylers' are our main target audience. Creatives: Creatives are still top of the Tribal map and care constantly creating new content. DIYers are creative, tech savvy self-starters that bring culture to life for Tribes today – they produce music, promote club nights, start indie brands and create festival stages. Many are also Creatives, but DIYers are set apart by their aspirations to ‘make it’, create events and actively influence culture in their area. DIYers used to be focused more in London, but in 2015 all major cities have a strong DIY scene.
