Twitter feed

I decided to create a Twitter account for my music artist, Jessie Lovett. By doing this I thought it would enable my artist to interact with her followers and develop a relationship with them by posting when and where her gigs are or more personal updates. This makes the audience feel more involved, making them more likely to watch her music video and listen to Jessie Lovett's album. Social media is the most used software for individuals within modern society to communicate with different people, whether they know them or not. In order for Jessie Lovett to gain more success she needs to keep in touch with her audience so they are aware of every stage of the music video creation. To make sure the audience recognises her Twitter page, I included her common attributes of her identity in the bio e.g. musician, studying at university etc.. This way not only would the audience be able make sure it was her but new people may become intrigued and check out her recent songs and album. A photo of Jessie Lovett has been used in the profile picture in order for the audience to recognise her. I've used an image from a recent magazine photoshoot that Jessie Lovett was in because it keeps her look up to date and allows the audience to easily identify her. In addition the photo looks very professional, similar to other indie/alternative bands like Dua Lipa's profile pic because they convey the artist in an admirable way, meaning that they are more likely to gain a bigger following-which is what is needed to become successful for artists who haven't got a record deal.

As Jessie Lovett becomes more successful and famous her Twitter feed will become more and more busy. It would eventually contain lots of photographs, gig dates, new albums/updates and personal happenings. Using social networking sites just means the audience can keep up with their favourite music artist and become aware of all the exciting events that are occurring. As the progress of my music video creation continues, I will post on this Twitter page in order to follow the conventions of these situations and perform the stages of what would occur if my music artist was real. The appearance of this page will change over time, allowing the twitter profile to appear exciting and modern to the audience, making them more likely to follow the page-this is present on any band twitter account because they want to stay active and keep a strong connection with their audience.
