From our feedback we have decided to change a few aspects of our music
video to allow it to be the best quality product possible. We have taken the
feedback from our target audience and teacher into consideration and have
decided to act on certain aspects to help improve our video.
The only big part which we decided to not to make any adjustments to was our filming e.g. reshooting aspects because we were happy with the locations, styling, artist performance and the way the clips flowed together, which meant that it would be a waste of time to re-film any shots.

· Due to the
feedback made on the starting clip (saying that the artist’s eyes dart within
the shot, which is not progressive with the confident stare that our artist has
throughout the whole video. We decided to change this clip to one of a similar
appearance, due to it still having the same styling and location; however she
looks away from the camera. This fits better with the video because it makes
the audience enticed and intrigued to watch the whole video because of that
lack of eye contact. Also it doesn't break the confident demeanour that our
artist has when compared to the original clip.
· We moved the
title 'Watercolour Envy' text slightly to make sure it was constant with the
beat of the song.
· We then
changed the framing of the video slightly; due to the comments about the close
up lip syncing elements not because close enough to our artist. We eradicated
this by cropping these shots to ensure that the clear focus is on our artist
and not what else is in the shot. Also this enables the audience to build a
stronger connection with our artist.
· We decided
to re-frame certain aspects of the video. For example the hand snap and the
ripping photo shot. This ensured these clips fit with our off-centre filming
aesthetic, making the overall video visually flow more effectively. This
occurred by us cropping the shots slightly, making the closer and off
centre.
· Most of the
lip syncing shots had to be altered to ensure that our artist matched with the
lyrics. This was the most time consuming and hardest part because it is
difficult to tell whether it is exactly in time, when editing. However we have
managed to get it all in time to the highest of quality- making it appear
realistic and professional.
· The last
adjustment that we made was to add the legal information at the end of the
video. We made sure to get a professional look by seeing how other
professionally made videos have their legal print visually displayed, which
were then able to create something similar.
