Jessie Lovett is an indie/alternative musician. Her love
of music started in 2014 as a hobby, which then developed into a career. On November
21st 2016, she released her first debut album called ‘4:AM’, it
spread across music networks such as Spotify and iTunes. Alongside constructing
her album, Jessie is studying music at University where she hopes to get a
record deal and become more aware of the industry. At an early age Jessie
performed at local pubs, village concerts and uploaded videos on social
networks. This helped her gain more experience and become recognized as a
musician; leading to her constructing her new album ‘4:AM’. From the very
start Jessie Lovett has always been a solo artist but has potential to
collaborate in the future. When performing she has always remained local in
Manchester but has started to spread out to near cities to do her own gigs and
share her music, this has allowed her to gain a bigger following due to her
unique voice and catchy songs. As well as being a talented performer she is
also a songwriter who wrote all her songs featured on the ‘4:AM’ album.
The album ‘4:AM’ was inspired from past experiences
and people Jessie interacts with on a day to day basis. She gets inspiration
from other people’s actions and emotions and so likes to create imagery with
her music - so her audience can experience these thoughts first hand. From a
recent interview about her album, Jessie Lovett said ‘I really like capturing memories in that
way and I guess the album is just a diary of the past couple of years, which
have simultaneously been the best and worst of my life. Very dramatic!' The message that Jessie wants to reinforce to her audience is to
engage with people no matter what their flaws or differences are by using her
music to bring people together and fix society as a team. Jessie’s song ‘Watercolour
Envy’ (which is present on the new album) deals with a massive issue of
cheating on a partner, which allows her audience to relate and gain a stronger
understanding of Jessie Lovett’s personal life, allowing a deeper connection.
Jessie has constructed the song ‘Watercolour Envy’ to sound upbeat, allowing
the audience to get an honest understanding of the song when listening to the
lyrics.
